Elements of Descriptive Writing | Students will learn to revise the aspect of delivering the following:
• Enable a sophisticated use of structure • the importance of organising details with the appropriate paragraphs •effective use of figurative language in a descriptive piece of writing • to ensure an understanding of the difference between objective details versus subjective details • to arrange the organisation of descriptive writing in either spatial or Order of Importance • to analyse advanced descriptive writing samples to decipher effective techniques • to complete a descriptive writing assignment

• Reading at this point in the academic year is even more enhanced as key literary features that have been taught in the other units (article/ comprehension) can be identified and utilised to elicit understanding and connections |
